New Fall 2026 Workshop: Adult Ballet Choreography - Nutcracker

4-weeks progressive program
Learn an adapted version of the Spanish Dance from The Nutcracker - partnering options will be provided as necessary. Choreography will be similar to this video.
Every class begins with a ballet warmup with live piano, then you will learn an adapted version of a variation from the classical repertoire. Each week you will receive specially designed materials to aid in your practice and understanding of the repertoire
This progressive workshop is designed for adult dancers at a minimum beginner/intermediate level, with options for advanced dancers. A minimum of 3–4 years of consistent beginner experience is required; this workshop is not suitable for first-time dancers. If you have questions about your level, please email us.
Registration only, no drop-ins. Spaces will be limited.
Class Dates: Every Tuesday From November 24 - December 15, 2026 inclusive (4 classes)
Class Time: 6:45-8:00pm
Program Fee: $115 + GST.
Location: The Richmond Academy of Dance

Key Facts:
Designed for adult dancers beginning their pointe journey, or those returning to pointe work and eager to focus on developing technically sound foundations. This workshop is not for beginner ballet dancers. You must be at a strong intermediate level or higher.
We start from the beginning to ensure everyone is on the same safe page for pointe work!
Live piano every class!
This is a registration only program, no drop-ins.
Please note, you must take at least 2 additional ballet classes per week in addition to this program. You will be asked to confirm the details of this in your registration information.

This progressive workshop is designed for adult dancers at a beginner/intermediate level. Please note that you should have regular beginner experience, this is not for first time dancers.
Advanced dancers are also welcome! More challenging options will be provided for you.

If you feel like you are “stuck” working on the same corrections and concepts, this workshop will help you! We are here to support your ballet journey with our experience and joy of dance.

This workshop will focus on the basics and help you feel confident with your ballet technique. You will methodically learn the foundations of classical technique, the structure of ballet classes, and have fun while dancing to live piano!
